The First Steps

It all begins with an interview with your personal airline recruiter. They will determine your eligibility, give you step by step information, match you with job opportunities and recommend you to those opportunities directly.

If you are accepted into the Academy you will be able to begin training immediately with our online distance learning course. Learn all the basics of safety, procedures and lifestyle at your own pace. Once your online lessons have been completed you will attend jetBlue University for resident hands on training for one week to earn your wings.
Food, Housing and transportation provided.

At the graduation of your hands on training you will receive your certificate from the Academy as well as meet airline hiring managers in person where your placement team will help you decide on your new career path with the airlines.

Different airlines have different requirements.
Your recruiter will determine your eligibility for employment during your initial interview. They will match you to job opportunities and training programs.

There is no fixed amount of time the program takes although Most people complete the program within 4-6 weeks.
There are 2 phases of training -
Phase 1 consists of online lessons designed to teach all of the fundamentals of safety, equipment, customer service and more.
Online distance learning is conducted at your own pace and schedule. Average completion time is 3 weeks however completion time varies based on your learning schedule.
Phase 2 is an intensive - one week Hands on Training Held at jetBlue University in Orlando, Florida. This is where you will learn hands on at a state of the art airline facility on real equipment to earn your wings and demonstrate proficiency.
Accommodations are provided during the one week resident training.

There is no prior aviation experience required.
Most people entering the airline industry as Flight Attendants do not have aviation experience. Your training program will give you all of the experience and confidence necessary for success!

Unlike typical Flight Attendant schools, we do not offer open enrollment.
You can be accepted into training after a selection interview with one of our recruiters.
We hand select our candidates to ensure hirable, high quality candidates for Airline Positions and training.
Our recruiters will recommend you directly to hiring managers as well as send you the application for acceptance into training.

You must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident - Green Card Holder to be accepted into training and employed as a Flight Attendant In the United States.
